July Updates: New Products, ADG-1 Shipping & Merch announcements
Hello all.
Today we are releasing a batch of ADG-1s to the last of our wait list. If you were on the wait list and have still not received an email with how to order, or were on the waitlist earlier and did not purchase when first offered, please drop us line by writing to sales at our website address.
Any remaining inventory after we close out the wait list will be offered to all customers on a first come first serve basis around the first of August. Watch our mailing list and social media for more information if you were not on the original wait list.
After that release, we have a good number of parts available to build more units and will continue to build and offer ADG-1s in August and September before we have to place a new order with our vendors. These new units will be released in batches and announced on our social media channels and mailing list. I believe the last of our parts shortages (enclosure and IC shortages) have been resolved this month so we should have semi consistent monthly releases moving forward. We are trying to keep our price held down on these units but material shortages and shipping costs along with other Covid related delays are making this very challenging. Most likely we will be able to hold this price through the rest of this batch however future batches like likely need to be at an increased cost.
International customers: I know shipping from the US is challenging. We are currently in negotiations with an international distributor and hope to be able to offer units from your local this fall. Stay tuned for more information.
I’m getting a lot of questions about future products:
We had hoped to announce a deluxe version of the ADG-1 last month but are still working out details. For now, I will reveal that we are currently working on a limited Special Edition version. It will have a few small extra features (no Tap Tempo is not one of them, See our FAQ for why) and be in a special enclosure and knobs (adding Bling). While we are still working out details and pricing we expect this Special Edition unit to be around $599 and be very limited in availability. If the current ADG-1 meets your needs and 700mS is as much delay as you normally use I would advise sticking with the current unit. The Special Edition will have a slightly different sound in the longer delay range.
In addition to this, we are currently working on other modulation based pedals, but I am unable to guess when they will be available. We will sell no pedal before it’s time (sorry Orson Wells).
I am being asked about merch offerings both the velvet bags, T-Shirts, and other offerings, in particular folks who ordered the OG Rev A ADG-1 that did not come with the bag are asking how they can get one. Rest assured I am working on that. We hope to be able to offer T-Shits and the Velvet stash bags around the beginning of August. Customers who ordered an ADG-1 before we had the bags will be offered a coupon for 1 free bag, however we will be charging a nominal shipping charge with that order.
And lastly, several of you have asked me about the serial numbers of your ADG-1. Here at AMpT the serial numbers are assigned to your unit very early in the process when the raw PCB is received. This may or may not reflect the order the PCB was run though the assembly process. In addition, units may be held for various reasons including out of order processing, QC issues, random pulls for deeper inspection, shipping sequence, etc. In general, we try to ship in the order pedals are built and by serial number. However, this has not worked out for many units. For this reason, it is very possible for your unit to be several hundred numbers out of sequence with the largest serial number. We try to ship you a serial number that matches your order sequence but that has not always worked out.
